The Lord has blessed Emma and I (Tom) with three children: Benjamin (12), Anna (10) and Betty (9). My wife and I lead the Navigators Eldoret team. We are also tasked with the responsibility of shepherding the staff and ensuring that we remain true to our calling and vision.
Ministry at Eldoret involves: walking with couples in the couple’s ministry; student work in secondary schools (We disciple students at Wareng’ High School- the largest day school in Eldoret town) and; Colleges (Moi University- Main Campus, Chepkoilel Campus, Law School, Town Campus and most recently, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology in Kakamega town). With the help of Economic Projects Trust Fund (E.P.T.F) business entrepreneurial seminars, we have had increased opportunities to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom in the market place and the urban poor communities.
The task is daunting but thankfully the Lord has brought to us faithful laborers who are part of the leadership team. All of them have previously received a lot of input from the Navigators. They now lead at different capacities. They include: Dorothy and Arlington Simwa, Stella and Philipson Njue, Charity and Peter Kigo. Through the staff training program- Short Term Experience in Ministry (S.T.E.M) – Kevin Shikuku, Victoria Adembesa and Stephanie Chebet are receiving invaluable exposure and mentoring. We are seeing God draw people to Himself and raising faithful laborers (Isaiah 43:10).
