“What manner of love is this, that he should lay down his plans, spend his cash and visit me?” I wondered. I was drawn to his genuine concern and friendship.

I had been referred to Dennis Tongoi by my high school teacher Isaiah Isutsa. Shortly after school, I moved to Eldoret town in search for a job, there I met Dennis. Apart from assisting me secure a job, we did bible study, became friends, and it was during this time that he used to visit me. Through the bible studies I learnt more about God. I desired to always walk in obedience to Him. As life would have it, I later moved to Nairobi, again in search for ‘greener pastures.’ My steps were ordered! One day I bumped on Dennis! He referred me to Dr. Stanley Mukolwe and that is how I came to work at the Navigators Kenya Office in February 2006. Through this process, I experienced one of the Navigators core values: family and relational networks in discipling the nations.

As an Office Assistant, I contribute to the effective running of the Navigators Kenya office and its service to staff and customers by ensuring a clean, tidy and presentable environment. I am married to Mary Ashiku Shabaya and God has blessed us with two children, a boy-Peter and a girl-Christine. Romans 12:1-2 is my life verse.
