I am a mother of two lovely girls Wairimu (21) and Wanjiru (16). Wairimu has just completed her first degree at USIU in International Relations and will be graduating this August. Wanjiru is in form three at Lukenya Girls High School.

I first meet the Navigators while at Alliance Girls High School. I was part of a bible study that Sarah Mutua and Irene Tongoi used to lead.

In the year 2003, after working for 11 years, I evaluated my life and sensed that God had always placed a call on my life. I considered dedicating my life to ministry work and realized that I needed training. Therefore, I joined Nairobi International School of Theology (NIST) where I pursued a Master of Divinity (Leadership Studies) graduating in 2006. After a series of events, meetings, prayer and invitations, the Lord confirmed to me that I should serve with Economic Projects Trust Fund (EPTF) – A ministry of the Navigators Kenya.

As the team leader, my mandate is to make sure that we follow the vision of EPTF which is “Empowered Kingdom Minded Entrepreneurs Transforming Community”. Together with a team of managers we steward the human and financial resources of EPTF. We now have 9 full time employees and two interns based in Mombasa and Eldoret. The interns also work closely with the Navigators Area Leaders.

Since 2004, EPTF has been training in entrepreneurship in five regions namely, Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret and Machakos. Through our credit scheme, we offer credit and business advisory services.

My greatest joy in working with EPTF is when I see the staff I work with growing in their Christian faith as well as in their skills. We see ourselves strategically positioned in the market place not only to bring the Kingdom values in business but to see those we minister to come to the knowledge of our Savior and they become our ambassadors in their environments.“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works , which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Eph. 2:10)
